• Cancellations due to weather, availability or safety issues qualifies for a 100% Refund.
• Client-cancelled reservations unrelated to weather are subject to a 20% processing fee.
• Cancellations greater than 36 hours in advance get a 100% Full Refund, minus the 20% processing fee.
• Cancellations in less than 36 and more than 24 hours in advance receive a 25% Refund.
• Unfortunately, cancellations less than 24 hours in advance cannot be refunded.

No, believe it or not, you don’t need to be a strong swimmer to try scuba diving. During your dive, you’ll wear an inflatable vest (called a BCD) that keeps you afloat on the surface when needed — and helps control your depth underwater.

We start every experience in a pool, followed by shallow, calm water to guide you through everything step-by-step. You’ll always be supported by your instructor.

Discover Scuba Diving, or DSD, is a no-certification-required scuba experience designed for first-timers. You’ll learn a few basic techniques, practice them in shallow water with full instructor support, and then head out to explore the reef.

It’s not a course and doesn’t result in a certification — just a fun, safe, and easy way to see if scuba is right for you.

We offer two options:

• Standard DSD: One dive on the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef

• Deluxe DSD: Two dives + lunch — perfect if you know you’ll want more time underwater

Yes! We welcome kids as young as 10. We have child-sized masks and dive gear. Our instructors have trained many growing kids in the past.

You must be at least 10 years old to receive a PADI (Junior) Scuba Diver or Open Water certification.

Yes — Puerto Morelos is part of the world’s second-largest reef system. Our instructors and guides are in the water with you, pointing out fish, turtles, and other reef life the whole time.

We’re a PADI 5-Star shop, so we follow reef-safe practices while showing you the best marine life we can find.

Just a swimsuit and a towel. To protect the reef, we ask guests not to wear sunscreen — we provide wetsuits for diving and sun protection if needed.

You’ll also have cubbies the shop to keep your things safe, bottled water, and a place to rinse off and change when you get back.

If you need help getting to Wet Set, just let us know when booking. We’re happy to go over your options with you, but we don't actually provide transportation.

We’re here for you. Our guides are trained to support first-time divers and will stay by your side the whole time.

You’re never alone out there. In fact, our entire team undergoes annual training in CPR and reef safety.

Learning to breathe and maneuver underwater starts slowly and in calm, shallow water, with your instructor guiding you through each step at your pace.

You’ll also wear an inflatable buoyancy vest (BCD) that helps keep you afloat at the surface and gives you full control over your depth. You’ll never be left alone, and you can pause, surface, or stop anytime you need to.

Most people are amazed by how quickly their nerves turn into excitement once they’re in the water.

Before diving, you’ll fill out a quick medical questionnaire. If you answer “yes” to any specific health conditions, you may need a doctor’s note to participate, but we’ll walk you through it.

This helps ensure your safety.

Scuba Diver is a shorter, 1-day course that allows you to dive to 40 ft (12 m) — always with a PADI professional.

Open Water is a full certification that takes 2 days and allows you to dive to 60 ft (18 m) with any certified buddy, anywhere in the world.

We have upgrade options in case you are already a certified Scuba Diver but want to move up to Open Water. Or you can start with the Scuba Diver certification now if you're short on time and come back to upgrade with us later.

You can also try Discover Scuba if you're not interested in getting certified right now.

We provide everything: mask, fins, wetsuit, regulator, BCD, tanks, and weights. If you have your own gear, you're welcome to bring it, but it's not required.

Once your booking is confirmed, we’ll give you full instructions for completing your PADI eLearning modules online.

You can finish them from your phone or laptop before arrival.

The material gives you everything you need to know about how scuba gear works, how to move and breathe underwater, how to stay safe at different depths, and how to communicate with your dive buddy.

Scuba might seem like magic, but these techniques take the mystery out of it. Once you’re here, we’ll help you put it all into practice, step by step.

Of course — we do offer private courses upon request. If you're interested in one-on-one instruction, just ask when booking and we’ll set it up for you.

If you're taking the PADI Open Water Certification, yes, you'll need to complete a swim test and a 10-minute water tread as part of the course.

But don’t worry... you’re not being judged on speed or style. It’s simply to make sure you’re comfortable in the water before diving deeper.

Note: The Discover Scuba and Scuba Diver courses do not require a swim test.

If that’s the case, there’s a good chance you’re a PADI Scuba Diver — a beginner-level certification that allows you to dive to 40 ft (12 m), but only under direct supervision of a PADI professional.
